February’s Theme: Ultimate Night In
We don’t believe in following the crowd. Why should February be all about Valentines and Valentines all about red roses?
So, this month we have dreamed up the ultimate night in: flowers, fireside cocktails, an elegant table set for two and some pampering – a formula for any night that deserves a celebration, not just February 14th. And rather than opting for red roses, we have selected unconventional, seasonal flowers for those who want to show a little individuality.
Rosemary Collins Cocktail
After giving flowers of course (!), start your night off with the ultimate Valentine’s cocktail. We have included a fragrant sprig of FlowerBe’s own organic rosemary in every box this month and worked with mixologist, Henry Lay, to create the ‘Rosemary Collins’ cocktail, which can be made by blending the following ingredients:
-
50ml gin
-
25ml lemon juice
-
30ml rosemary infused sugar syrup
-
Shake and double strain over cubed ice
-
Garnish with the fresh rosemary sprig in your box and a dehydrated lemon wheel
-
Add soda to make a longer drink if preferred
Let the evening beGIN
Why not try one of these botanically-diverse artisan gins in your cocktail? The above are all British-blended and boast distinctive flavours, not to mention very pretty bottles.
Dress up your cocktail trolley with a beautiful arrangement using FlowerBe’s Amaryllis ‘Desire’ and Carnation ‘New York’ for a touch of old-style glamour.
The Amaryllis ‘Desire’ is a beautiful, bold variety blooming with huge warm, sunset coral large blossoms on tall strong stems. Amaryllis also means ‘splendid beauty’. Rosemary is a symbol of ‘remembrance’ – often worn by brides on their wedding day as a symbol of love and fidelity. And white roses mean ‘charm’. What better messages to send to a loved one?
