September’s Theme: Velvet Under Ground

One-Nightstand.jpg

September is the month to tidy away the summer clutter and reclaim your home. And what better way to feel that order has been restored than with a smart but decorative bedside cabinet.

Your bedroom should be your haven and no matter how big or small the room, some careful styling of your bedside table will create a calm, inviting and personal space. Make flowers your starting point – whether it is a single Monstera leaf, a simple arrangement of two or three stems or your entire FlowerBe bouquet, they will all act as a natural treat that will put a smile on your face last thing at night and first thing in the morning.

With flowers in place, a simple monochrome palette infused with reflective metals and glass and paired down natural elements make for a stylish bedside table vignette. Calm and warm lighting is key – a simple narrow-stemmed table lamp will allow room for other items, and add a scented candle for some fragrant luxury. Include a trinket box for your jewellery and watch, a photo frame to keep your loved ones nearby, a chic notebook for your midnight musings and finish with an under-table basket to hide wires and other unsightly ephemera. And then… sleep.
