Ceramic Notes | Azulejos
This August, we have continued our fascination with Azulejos tile-work and have drawn direct inspiration for our flowers from the simplicity and elegance from the traditional blue and white tile designs.
Typically, Azulejos tiles are decorated in a sophisticated colour palette of blue and white but can appear in green and yellow shades too. Many centuries after they first appeared on buildings in Portugal, these iconic tiles are still found throughout Portugal and Spain. These intricate designs are seen decorating bars, restaurants, residents’ homes, palaces, churches and many buildings in old towns and cities.
Our tall selection this month is a simple blend of blue and white, featuring a mixture of pale and dark blue and white blooms to create long-lasting simple and sophisticated arrangements. We have kept foliage to minimum, this enables the blue and white flowers to sit side by side in pure contrast.
